Squirrel
The most common wild life in Claremont California is squirrels. This one hangs out in trees on the Claremont Colleges campus.
Golden Raspberries
I tried Golden Raspberries for the first time at the Farmer's Market in Claremont, CA. Not bad but I prefer the old fashioned red ones.
Woodpecker
Some sort of woodpecker caught digitally inside Claremont hanging out in a tree. Kind of cute and similar to a woodpecker that has been attacking one of the windows at the office.

Cable Airport - Upland CA
Desiring something new, I went to eat breakfast at Manic Mike's Cafe at Cable Airport in Upland, California. I heard that the food is very good and one has a view of planes landing and taking off. The cafe lived up to the good reports I had heard of it.
Old School House - Claremont CA
The Old School House is the old Claremont High School. It has been turned into stores of which the main anchor appears to be Casa De Salsa which is a mexican restaurant. It does have live music on Thursday and Friday nights plus Sunday brunch.
A Citibank has been added to the Foothill side along with Trader Joe's.
It appears that the plans that Claremont has for this area is unfinished as I noted by closed buildings that appear to be waiting destruction to make room for new buildings. Thanks to the Claremont Insider Blog I found this information on the City of Claremont website.

Trader Joe's - Claremont CA
Before the Trader Joe's in Claremont opened, the nearest Trader Joe's was south of Route 66 in Upland and made that claim. The Trader Joe's in Claremont is North of Route 66 by feet not miles like the Upland store.

Periodically I get a desire for a Round Table Pizza. The most recent event was last night after work when I decided to have a small rather than the traditional personal. Odds are it will be awhile before the desire to have another pizza strikes as I am not a great fan of pizza.

Protest of Janet Napolitano at Pomona College ( Immigration / CHIRLA )
To correct an error in this video, Claremont is in Los Angeles county not San Bernardino county. Claremont is on the edge of Los Angeles County but it is totally on the Los Angeles side. When you cross into Upland, CA you are in San Bernardino County. So these out-of-town persons have no clue about Claremont, California.
It appears that I arrived about the time that the protesters start coming onto the Pomona College campus. I was on the graduation side of the street as I look like a local Claremont resident for the reason that I am and I have a drivers license that proves it. I live in Claremont, California and these troublemakers do not.
Classic Ford Thunderbird
There is several classic Ford Thunderbirds that are found periodically in Claremont, California. As far as I know there is only one in the color green as the others are not green. I like the yellow one best but the green one is cute too. Today I found the green one again; and maybe the yellow one will show up soon too?

Even Dogs Protest Against Arizona
Yes, dogs have emigration rights too. I saw a lot of dogs in Claremont, California today but this was the only dog involved in a protest.
Pomona College Graduation Class of 2010
Some of the students who graduated today at Pomona College. Not use to hearing the President's name mentioned so much during a graduation. Naturally, the issue of emigration got mentioned a few times too.
Claremont Farmer's Market
The protesters at Pomona College could be heard because they were nearby but they didn't get close to the Farmer's Market. I got some sweet cherries and red raspberries to eat. The raspberries were organic but I am not sure about the sweet cherries. Both tasted great and I enjoyed looking at what there was to purchase at the Farmer's Market today.
Protest Against Arizona Part 2
After protesting near the Pomona College graduation location for awhile; the protesters ended up in a city of Claremont park a bit farther away from the graduation event. A few speakers spoke to the small crowd and then the protest was all over.

It was more than a protest against the new emigration law in Arizona as it was also a protest against one of the speakers at the Pomona College Graduation Day too. Protesters on Pomona College Campus is rare per my knowledge. The Claremont police as well as college campus security were out in force in case the protest stopped being peaceful but there was no problems.
Pomona College Graduation Day
Today is graduation day for students at Ponoma College in Claremont, California. Due to the fact that one of the speakers has taken an unpopular position on a political issue, there was some protesters today in Claremont too. I know something was strange when I noted increased security on the Claremont College campus and security radios tracking the movement of a group. More will be posted later on the protesters.
Blue Fin Sushi
On Sundays I usually eat at the Blue Fin Sushi restaurant in College Center either before, during, or after the Jazz music. Nice to enjoy nice Japanese food along with free live Jazz music. College Center is at the corner of Indian Hill and Claremont Blvd in Claremont, California.

Pomona College Museum of Art
One of the art museums in Claremont, California is located on the Pomona College campus. Tonight it has an evening of Music and Art from 8 PM to 10 PM. It is located at the corner of College and Bonita.
It is closed on Mondays and opened on weekends from 1 PM to 5 PM. Weekdays other than Monday it is open 12 PM to 5 PM.

Red Thunderbird in Claremont, CA
There are times you can find several classic Ford Thunderbirds of various colors in Claremont, California. This can especially happen on cruise nights which happen monthly during the summer months. The Village Grill is the host of Cruise Nights in Claremont, California.
Jazz @ College Center in Claremont, CA
Typically I hang out in "College Center" on Sunday between 2 to 5 PM so that I can listen to live Jazz music. During the summer months there is lots of live free music in the Village of Claremont but only the Jazz series at College Center is year around.
